Your Best Choice For Hearing Aid Repairs
Almost 35 years ago, my father took his hearing aid in to a hearing aid store, and was told, “Those are sealed units that can’t be repaired. You need to buy a new hearing aid.”
As he said that, the salesman threw my dad’s hearing aid into a trash can. My father did buy a new hearing aid that day, but he also dug his old hearing aid out of the trash when the man left the room.
A few years later, when I was working as a repair tech for a large hearing aid manufacturer, I fixed that hearing aid for my dad. I told myself at that time that I would always be sensitive to other people’s needs, so I would never treat someone with such a cavalier attitude.
Now as the director of Hearing Haven, I am able to participate in helping many people to get their hearing aids working again - regardless of age or condition. My son Taylor and I will always try our best to help you hear again, so even if you’ve been told “no way” send your hearing aid in and give us a try. If we can’t repair your hearing aid, I guarantee we will send it back to you at no cost.

Repair Fees for Electronics
Our fee for a complete hearing aid servicing is $175. This includes replacement of defective parts, cleaning and testing of all components, and a one year repair warranty.
Any fees for hearing aid programming will be waived if requested at time of servicing. Programming fees are normally $50 for one aid or $75 for two aids.
There may be an extra fee for the following items:
Circuit Board Replacement:
If the hearing aid's circuit board has failed, there is a $50 fee to replace it. It is rare that the circuit board fails, and in this case we would call for your permission before proceeding any further.
Faceplate Replacement:
The faceplate is the part of "In The Ear" hearing aids which faces away from your ear and contains the battery compartment. If this has been damaged and needs replacement there is an additional $50 fee.
Repair Fees for Re-casing and Shell Repair
If your hearing aid needs a completely new shell (the custom piece that fits your ear) the price is $275 . This includes any repairs the electronic components may need, and a twelve month warranty covering component failure. We can either copy the shell of another hearing aid you have that fits your ear, or you can send us a new impression of your ear.
If the shell needs a simple repair due to a crack or break, it covered in the standard repair fee of $175. This also includes any electronic repairs needed and a twelve month warranty. The only time we cannot repair a broken shell is if it is in MANY pieces, or if a large piece, or several pieces are missing. Also, depending on the extent of the damage, there may be an additional $50 to replace the faceplate.

Brands We Can Repair for You
We repair all brands, styles, and types of hearing aids.
The owner and founder of Hearing Haven has operated an all make hearing aid repair lab since 1989, and worked for a large hearing aid company prior to that.
There are far too many brands and models to list here, but chances are, we have already repaired many of your particular brand, model, and style.

Your Warranty
There are no fees for In Warranty servicing.
Our hearing aid repairs and remakes are covered by a 12 month repair warranty, while our cloned hearing aids are covered by a 24 month repair warranty. This warranty covers any component failures that cause the hearing aid to stop working correctly.
In the case of a component failure we will replace the defective part with a brand new, matching component, and restore your hearing aid to good working order.
If we repair your hearing aid, the electronic components of your hearing aid are covered for repair work for one year.
If we remake your hearing aid shell, the hearing aid is covered for both the electronic components, and the fit of the shell for one year.
What this warranty does not cover is loss of the hearing aid, or physical damage, such as being stepped on, or chewed on by a pet. It does not cover misuse or abuse, but we will work with you in such cases to keep all fees to a minimum.
If for some reason a hearing aid becomes un-repairable during the time that it is under warranty with us, such as parts are no longer available to us, we will refund the amount originally paid for the repair or remake.
We realize that hearing aids do break down for a variety of reasons, and we strive to get them repaired and back to you in a minimum of time. Rather than looking for an excuse to not cover an aid under warranty, we try our best to cover any problems you have under the 12 or 24 month warranty. We pledge to work with you, and we will do our best to keep your hearing aid working.
How Fast Is The Repair?
Your hearing aid is normally repaired and shipped back within:
- 2-4 business days or faster for In The Ear aids
- 5 business days or faster for Behind The Ear aids
- 3-4 business days or faster for re-shells (new mold)
Next Business Day service is available on repairs for a $20 fee.
Your Technicians
Our professional hearing aid repair technicians have many years experience with multiple brands, and have been factory trained. Every Hearing Haven technician is paid a salary so they can take their time on your hearing aid for a proper repair.
Shipping Fees and Details
Your hearing aids are returned by the United States Postal Service. Return shipping by Priority Mail is included at no charge. Priority mail takes 2-3 business days to arrive.
You also have the option of upgrading to Express Mail for $18 which takes 1-2 business days and comes with a tracking number.
If you include your email adrress with your order, you will be emailed when your hearing aid has been shipped and provided with a confirmation number for Priority Mail or a tracking number for Express mail.
For the safety of your hearing aids: please ship them to us in a small, crush proof box or other crush proof container (prescription pill bottles or vitamin bottles work great), packed securely with packing foam or tissue.
Be sure to include, at minimum, your name and phone number. Preferably, we ask that you include a completed copy of our repair order form.
